Dr. Rosemary Bulyaba is The Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at Uganda Christian University (UCU), Mukono. She holds a BSc. in Agribusiness Management (2012) degree from Makerere University Kampala, MSc. in Crop Production and Physiology (2015) and PhD in Crop Production and Physiology (2019) from Iowa State University, USA. She graduated from Makerere University with First class Honors. Rosemary was a graduate research fellow under the legume Innovation lab funded by USAID through Michigan State University while pursuing her PhD at Iowa State. She received Iowa State’s graduate research excellence award in 2019 for her research work on production, management and utilization of legumes including cowpea, soybean, common bean, and lablab. She is also the recipient of various American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America, and Soil Science Society of America (ASA, CSSA and SSSA) awards for research presentation and the Bean Improvement Cooperative (BIC) and Iowa Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Professional   Development Program awards. She was a leader in International Friendship Connection (IFC) at Cornerstone Church of Ames (2015-2019). She also served as a agronomy senator on the Graduate and Professional Student Senate at ISU (2017) and also led the International Student Graduate Learning Community at ISU (2017-2018).  Rosemary is a member of the Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society of Agriculture, member of UFAAS and has also been a member of ASA, CSSA and SSSA. She currently teaches several courses on agronomy, gender for sustainable agricultural development, scientific presentation skills among others and manages the agricultural demonstration and training site in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at UCU.
